One is nowhere if one does not have skills in certain areas. In the good news department, everyone has one skill or the other that one can show off. However, if your skills are not outlined in a resume, there is very little chance that you will be able to impress a hiring manager with your resume.
Resumes are the main job application documents, and they need to be wholesome enough to whet a hiring manager’s appetite. Telling a hiring manager that you are great when sitting face to face is not much good unless you can prove it. The problem is that skills are often proven only once hired.
