Resumes are the main job application documents, and they need to be wholesome enough to whet a hiring manager’s appetite. Telling a hiring manager that you are great when sitting face to face is not much good unless you can prove it. The problem is that skills are often proven only once hired. Since that is not really a possibility, it is best to highlight them in a resume, through a dedicated special section.
